2021 Kid Min Retreat

Let’s ReStart! 

WOW! What a year 2020 has been. I can say for certain that I have never been prouder to be associated with a group of ministers than I am this year with each of you. You have gone above and beyond in finding unique and creative ways to minister to children and families in each of your settings. From pandemics, to elections, to hurricanes (multiple), to murder hornets, you all have stood up and faced the task. With 2021 kicking off I would say it is time for a ReSTART! This year we are trying some new things when it comes to the Preschool/Children’s Minister’s Retreat. We will be meeting at First Baptist Church Lafayette on February 22 and 23. Our guest this year will be Bill Emeott (formerly of LifeWay) with Houston’s First Baptist Church. We will be meeting at the church and offering block rates at a local hotel. Those hotel rates will be announced shortly after the first of the year. You can either get your own room or find someone to share with if you want to split the cost. We will be providing dinner on Monday evening and breakfast on Tuesday morning. I hope you can join us for this time to refresh, refocus, and ReStart.

When: February 22-23 

Cost: $25 per Person (includes dinner on Monday and breakfast on Tuesday)

Monday, Feb. 22 

11:30 am: Casual Lunch in Lafayette (Location to be announced, not included in cost of registration) 

1:00 pm: Registration begins at the church 

1:30 pm: Afternoon sessions begin at the church 

6:00 pm: Dinner

Tuesday, Feb. 23 

9:00 am: Morning sessions begin 

11:45 am: Dismiss (Optional: Lunch together to conclude our retreat)
